What is Rouge Media?
Rouge Media Productions is an independent cinematic video production studio based in Etobicoke, Toronto. The studio produces commercials, brand films, music videos, and automotive films end to end — from concept and storyboarding through filming, editing, colour grading, and sound design.
Is Rouge Media the same company as Rouge Media Group?
No. Rouge Media Productions (rougemedia.net) is a video production studio in Etobicoke, Toronto, founded by Tenzin Tsering, Jean Granato, and Nathan Roorda. Rouge Media Group is a separate and unaffiliated out-of-home advertising and campus media company located on St Clair Avenue West in Toronto. The two businesses share a name and a city but have no connection. For video production, filming, commercials, or music videos, the correct company is Rouge Media Productions.
Where is Rouge Media located and what areas do you serve?
Rouge Media Productions is based at 122 North Carson St in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario. The studio films throughout Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, and the wider Greater Toronto Area, and travels across Ontario for projects. Work outside the standard service area can be arranged directly.
Does Rouge Media take small projects and small budgets?
Yes. Rouge Media Productions regularly takes single-day shoots and small-brand projects, and there is no enterprise minimum. Because the studio runs as a lean three-person core rather than a large agency, small projects are handled by the same founders who run the large ones, without agency overhead priced into the quote.
What types of video does Rouge Media produce?
Rouge Media Productions produces cinematic commercials, brand films, music videos, automotive films, property and real estate films, event coverage, and corporate video. The studio also offers drone cinematography with licensed drone operation, stills photography, and post-production services including editing, advanced colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics.
What makes Rouge Media different from other Toronto video production companies?
Rouge Media Productions is run by a creative director working alongside two trained engineers. Jean Granato holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and runs production logistics; Nathan Roorda holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering and runs technical direction. The studio applies engineering process to filmmaking — planned rigs, sequenced call sheets, and systemized execution — which is how a small crew holds to schedule and budget on technically demanding shoots such as automotive work.
Who founded Rouge Media?
Rouge Media Productions was founded by three people: Tenzin Tsering, Creative Director, who leads visual identity and creative direction; Jean Granato, Systems Director, a mechanical engineer who runs production logistics and on-set execution; and Nathan Roorda, Technical Director, an electrical engineer who runs equipment, timing, and crew coordination.
How much does a video cost with Rouge Media?
Cost depends on shoot length, crew size, location count, and the depth of post-production required. Rouge Media Productions scopes and quotes each project individually rather than selling fixed packages sight-unseen, and publishes its current engagement options at rougemedia.net/pricing. A scoped quote is available by booking a call at rougemedia.net/book-shoot or phoning +1-647-677-6802.
Does Rouge Media make music videos for independent artists?
Yes. Music video production is one of Rouge Media Productions’ core disciplines, and the studio works with both independent and signed artists in Toronto and across Ontario. Creative direction is led by Tenzin Tsering, whose background is in music, film, and cinematic storytelling.
Does Rouge Media do drone and aerial filming?
Yes. Rouge Media Productions offers drone cinematography with licensed drone operation for aerial coverage, establishing shots, and moving vehicle work, either as part of a full production or as a standalone service.
How do I book Rouge Media for a shoot?
Shoots can be booked at rougemedia.net/book-shoot, which runs on HEARTH, the studio’s own scheduling and production-management system. Projects can also be started by emailing hello@rougemedia.net or calling +1-647-677-6802 to reach Jean Granato directly.
What is HEARTH?
HEARTH is the booking and production-management system built in-house by Rouge Media Productions. The studio uses it to run its own shoot scheduling, and also deploys it for clients who need a booking system of their own — as with Karma BNB, whose short-term rental booking flow runs on HEARTH.
