The Brief
A short-term rental has to sell a feeling before a guest ever reaches the booking page. Karma BNB needed a compact property film that could show the layout clearly while still communicating the warmth, texture, and personality that separate the space from a generic listing.
The film was built for web and social use, where the first few seconds have to establish the property and every following shot must earn its place. The goal was not an exhaustive room inventory. It was a confident visual tour that helps a prospective guest imagine moving through the home.
The Approach
The camera path follows the logic of a guest arrival. Exterior details and colourful prayer flags create the first impression, then the film moves through the shared living room, open kitchen, stairway, bath, and bedrooms. Wide compositions explain how the rooms connect; closer architectural details keep the walkthrough from feeling clinical.
Movement stays slow and deliberate. Rather than cutting between static real-estate angles, the camera glides through thresholds and turns with the architecture. That forward motion gives a 50-second edit continuity and makes the property feel like one coherent experience instead of a collection of rooms.
Available daylight was protected in the windows while warm practical fixtures and wood finishes were allowed to shape the interior palette. The grade keeps those warm materials present without flattening the white kitchen, stone shower, or late-day exterior light.
For delivery, the 4K HEVC master was converted to a fast-start H.264 web encode with a dedicated poster frame. That gives the portfolio and case-study pages broad browser support, quick playback, and indexable VideoObject metadata without asking the visitor to download the production master.
Craft Notes
Guest-path camera movement
The sequence is organized around how someone would discover the home, using doorways and room transitions to create a readable spatial journey.
Wide-to-detail coverage
Wide frames establish layout and capacity; inserts of lighting, woodwork, art, and finishes communicate the character that listing photography can miss.
Mixed-light interior grade
Window light and warm practicals are balanced without stripping the rooms of their natural colour, keeping the property inviting and believable.
Search-ready web delivery
A browser-compatible H.264 master, poster image, descriptive page copy, canonical URL, and VideoObject schema make the film useful beyond social media.
